What is Rooted?

Rooted is designed to connect leaders to each other, to innovative and inspiring training, to resources, and most importantly, to God.

Rooted is the "can't miss" event for anyone involved in Children, Youth, Family ministry, and/or worship ministries. Whether you are brand new to ministry, a long-time veteran, on the church payroll, or volunteering your time, you will find valuable time in the worship, classes, and community at Rooted.
Rooted is proudly hosted by the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Warren Willis United Methodist Camp and Conference Center, the Ministry Leadership Center, and the Institute for Modern Worship.
Rooted 2026
We hope Rooted will help you kick off your Fall programming in amazing ways. Mark your calendars for September 14 and 15. All are welcome who love working with young people in the local church. We will have classes that help folks who are new to ministry, classes that will ground us in Wesleyan Theology, and conversations that hope to engage our veterans. Our Young People's Ministry Table will be working hard over the next few months preparing a great line-up of speakers, workshops, and experiences that will provide resourcing, conversations of faith, and nourishment for the long journey ahead.

Praying for each of you and the valuable Kingdom Work you do.
-Rev. Joel Pancoast
Our partnership with the Institute for Modern Worship (IMW) opens doors for connection, collaboration, and innovation. IMW will be hosting workshops centering around topics of leading worship in our local churches and theology and ethics of modern worship environments. All of our workshops hope to center around equipping folks for our diverse job descriptions.
